what i have learnt this week.

This week in maths i have learnt plan views in geometry. So in geometry a plan view is when you make a shape you draw in 2D the left right and top of that shape.

Writing goals

In my writing i have finally completed my writing goal and that was full stops and capital letter and now i’m up to paragraphs. It is very hard to use paragraphs because i haven’t used paragraphs much before. But i know that i will get the hang of it. 

Len Lye Art Gallery

Len Lye Art Gallery

Room 10 and Room 11 went to the the Len Lye Art Gallery on Friday last week.

Len Lye made amazing 3D sculptures and other cool pieces of art.

 At the Len Lye Art Gallery the place is ginormous the ceiling is like 50 meters high and you wonder how do they change their light bulbs.

 Any way in the art gallery there is an area called the Len Lye centre and it’s some of the art that Len Lye has created.

 Our favorite art was Universe it is a big metal circle that has magnets and at one point Universe looks like it’s about to fall off.

 Another piece of art that Len Lye made is called Wavy Grass and Wavy Grass it is made out of stainless steel and it makes me feel super calm when I look at it.

 As soon as I walked in the front door I had a rush of excitement but I didn’t express it. The other pieces of art I didn’t really like that much at all.

Len Lye's art is a sort of calm art but also very energetic.

my learning this week

This week I have persisted to get better at my math  and I have improved a lot like now I understand my division. 

Example division is not taking away it is sharing between like 40 Lollies  need to be shared between 20 people so the equation is 40 divide by 20 = 10

You can make division pretty easy if you know your time tables.

Details (Aim Setting Characters): The aim of the game is to unlock all the characters and play through all the dragon ball z sagas(chapters in the story) and defeat all the evil enemies in the game , there are multiple arenas that you can play in, goku. gohan(kid-teen-adult), vegeta, cell(1ts form 2nd perfect form and full power), goten, kid trunks.

Rating from 1-10 (10 is the highest score) and a comment about: Smoothness: 7   The game runs quite well for a old game. Story: 10   You get to play through the sagas (chapters) in the game. graphics: 5  The graphics look very well for an old game. Multiplayer: 8  Is good to vs a friend or go online. Would recommend this game? Its good for people that want to play a DBZ game for the first time. Why or why not? Its a fun game and for learning the whole story for DBZ.

National young leaders day

What did you think of NYLD 2015. Give your opinion and reasons why you hold these opinions (at least 4 sentences). I think that young leaders day was good because most year sixes get the opportunity to be a better leader. Each speaker and youth speaker has there own story but they all teach you how to be a better leader. I think that all year sixes should have the chance to go to young leaders day and learn how to be a better leader. All the children who walked out have become better leaders.

Who was your favourite speaker and why? (Describe in at least 4 sentences). William Pike because he has had one life threatening event going up mount ruapehu. Also the one thing that he said that stood out to me is think all passion no limits and you can do anything. That life threatening event coasted him his right leg but he got a prosthetic leg and went back up mount ruapehu. The whole time he thought all passion no limit.

What have you learnt about being a leader? (At least 4 sentences). I have learnt how to be a more responsible leader. I’ve learnt from other people how to be a better leader and never give up. Other leaders have helped me become a better leader. I’ve learnt to not care about myself but to care about others.

How could you use this learning here at school? (At least 4 sentences) I will never give up on a task even if it's really hard. I am going to ask for help whenever i get the opportunity. I will try and find away to figure something out. I will now think all positive and try and achieve my goal.
